The statistics presented on this home page are tongue-in-cheek. They nevertheless provide interesting insights not usually associated with the analysis of an annual report. The rankings determined by the editors refer to the scope and size of the reports. Measured purely in terms of the file volume of the individual PDFs, particularly heavy annual reports are by no means always crammed with elaborate graphics or lavish images. Sometimes these reports are simply not optimised in their presentation. Most DAX reports with many 100 pages and a powerful image section show that it is possible to do better. When the graphics professionals of large corporations are at work, even extensive reports can be produced with a relatively smooth file volume. Fun fact: The annual reports of the 40 DAX companies had an average of 263 pages in 2020. The most extensive report is that of Deutsche Bank with more than 500 pages. At 672 pages, Deutsche Bank's annual financial statements for 2014 are by far the most extensive report of all DAX companies in the past 16 years - probably even an all-time high.
